How Frobisher Keeps Its Multi-Store and Multi-Channel Operations Running Smoothly

In our most recent customer story, we are putting the spotlight on Frobisher, an interior design firm with two retail locations in New Zealand. Having a flagship store in Christchurch, an Auckland based showroom, and an internet shop, the Frobisher team does an wonderful job of staying on top of the many components of the enterprise.

We caught up with Jacinta Walker, Sales and Marketing Coordinator in Frobisher, and asked her to discuss Forbisher’s story.

1. Tell us a little about how Frobisher got started. What is the story behind the business?

Frobisher has been around the scene for approximately 30 years. Ann-Marie and Mark, the present owners, have experienced the company since 2009. Originally located in a small villa on Aikmans Road at Merivale Christchurch, Frobisher currently has our flagship store in Christchurch that provides exclusive furniture and Interior design services for every budget and a retail shop in Parnell, Auckland.

Frobisher has gone from strength to strength in the design and furniture market. Our staff are always ready to accept your most recent project, and are highly experienced in working closely with architects and contractors to ensure the best result for our customers. We’re not limited in our designs, as our staff have the ability to source from where they like so as to satisfy our customer’s needs.

2. How do you keep people coming back?

Our tag line is”unique design, inspired together”, and this also applies to the retail and design element of our company.

We carefully listen to our clients and clients as to what their needs may be, and what the industry is providing. We then find a difference and meet that need. This makes us unique in our offering. We’ve got exclusive rights to a number of our providers which gives us a competitive edge.

3. What are a few of the challenges that come with running multiple stores?

We have a retail shop in Parnell, Auckland. With unique cities come variations in needs, desires, trends and fashions. We attempt to accommodate for all these factors while keeping a nationwide brand image.

Planning and communication are crucial. We’re always in touch with our Auckland Manager, and our retail staff makes a visit to Auckland every month. This ensures service for our retail staff, and also to ensure that our showroom’s and processes are running smoothly,

A challenge we face is communication that we have access to providers and products from all around the world, it is possible to customise or individualise lots of our pieces and the choices are endless! You aren’t confined to what we have in — shop with Frobisher.
